this is my excel doc. it is a way for students to map thier sentences to make sure they have variety to improve their writing.

UEN

Whilst perusing the UEN website, I found a few things that would be really fun to use in my classroom. The first one was a link to CNN student news (http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/). I thought this might be a fun way for incorporating current events into the class.

another item I thought would be useful was a video that called Harry Potter: Real Worlds and Heroic Myths. It explores the folklore, myths and legends that inspired the adventures and how the books are based on a solid foundation of classical traditions that are fundamental to Western literature. I thought this would be fun and interesting for the kids to help incorporate something that they are interested in already and use that.

The third things i found was actually a link to all of the activities that are listed, by content area, for the students to do. It can go along with lessons, or just be something fun, but educational. Gave me lots of ideas of things to do in my classroom.

Hi. I'm SuAnn. You know me already Suzy, but if anyone else reads this... I guess I can make something up.

So the boring stuff... I'm married and have 3 little girls. Ok so that is not boring. They keep me very busy and they are the most important things in mny life. Here is a pic: and pic of just my girls at thanksgiving last year:
















some things about me...

I love camping. We usually go camping at least once a month from Febuary until November, so for all but like 3 months out of the year we go somewhere. Some of our favorite places are, in the cooler months, the Moab area, and Zions. in the warmer months, the Unita mountains or Payson lakes.

I am very close to all of my family. My mom lives 15 minutes away, my brother (the one that isn't in jail, lol) lives 8 blocks away. My In-laws live in the next town over. My dad lives the furthest from me and he lives in Virgin, UT.

I have two brothers. One who is 8 years older than me, and one that is 14 months younger. My husband is the youngest of 5 brothers, but there are only two left living. So I am surrounded by brothers and no sisters.

So there are a few things about me, I will think of more later. Oh today is my 30th birthday. Nothing exciting there.
